4999 DWT, Algerian flag oil tanker M/T TAMGOUT belongs to Nolis SPA of Algeria has been converted into double hull oil tanker.

Design work for double hull was made by TECNITAS, Greece, the consulting & outsourcing department of Bureau Veritas whereas workshop drawings were prepared by Gemak Shipyard's internal design office.

Work Description
|
|
|
|
Prefabrication and installation of new longitudinal bulkheads and other additions to existing structure such as supports, web frames, beams etc. including stainless steel outfitting items such as manholes, ladders etc. All cargo main and stripping lines and heating coils have been modified as per new tank scheme. After completion of structural modifications, all cargo tanks and newly formed side ballast tanks have been blasted and coated. In addition to conversion works, substantial repairs and docking works as per class requirements were carried out.

|
180 ton new steel fabrication and installation, piping modification and full blasting and coating of cargo and ballast tanks were completed within 3,5 months.
