Canal transit project

 

3.093 DWT United Kingdom flag offshore supply vessel M/V "CASTLE" belongs to Bue Marine ltd. of U.K. had been modified to pass volgo-Don Canal System and trade in Caspian Sea.

 

 

 

Design & practice

 

Gemak Shipyard has completed the whole conversion in turn-key basis. Design work for lifting arrangement including workshop drawings were carried out by Gemak Shipyard in house and approved by DnV.

 

 

 

Deck modifications

 

In order to reduce air draft of the vessel, wheelhouse was cut-off after removal of all equipment inside and outside from a certain level.
The whole work scope was consisting of following items.
