Gemak has extended experience and its own capacity of steel surface preperation and coatings for hull, deck, cargo holds, ballast and cargo tanks. Yard owns 50 nozzles of grit blasting system, 9 off high pressure water jet machines upto 1000 bar, 5 off de-humifiers, 4 off vacuum removers, about 25000 m³ pipe staging material and is able to offer 3000 m² per day SIS SA2½ blasted and coated surface. There are 5 dedicated foremen take care of the surface treatment works. Most of the major paint suppliers have their own stocks and technical offices located in Istanbul. Other activities including tank cleaning, gas-freeing, slop and sludge reception are readily available.
